Komodo Health Named to Top 25 Highest-Rated Private Cloud Computing Companies to Work For
- List Highlights Privately Held Cloud Companies With Highest Levels of Employee Satisfaction
- Komodo’s Recognition Reflects Consistent Commitment to Culture and Values
San Francisco, CA (December, 14 2021) – Komodo Health, a leader in software-driven health analytics, was recognized as one of the top 25 Highest-Rated Private Cloud Computing Companies to Work For. The list was released today by Battery Ventures, a global cloud investment firm, based on employee feedback shared on Glassdoor*. The list highlights 25 privately held, business-to-business, cloud-computing companies where employees reported the highest levels of satisfaction at work during the 12 months that ended October 31.
Since its founding in 2014, Komodo’s culture has been a cornerstone of the company’s success. Amid a year of rapid change, continued hypergrowth, and an ongoing pandemic, Komodo has doubled down on its investment in the mission, values, experience, and overall culture that create a unique and rewarding experience for its “Dragons.” In 2021, Komodo reopened offices while embracing hybrid work, deepened its commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, launched multiple new Dragon-led affinity groups, and kicked off a learning and development initiative to support the team’s continued growth. Events and weekly All Hands meetings help Dragons stay connected, collaborative, and motivated as a team while adapting to new ways of working, even as the team became increasingly distributed.
“While the pandemic has accelerated the businesses of many cloud companies – whose products often help fuel digital transformation – many cloud CEOs are still grappling with how to build great corporate cultures, hire the best employees, and retain them in an incredibly fast-changing and unpredictable business environment,” said Neeraj Agrawal, a Battery Ventures general partner who specializes in cloud investing. “The companies on this list should feel proud of their success building positive cultures and promoting employee satisfaction, which often translates into financial success. They really are modeling best practices for other organizations across the economy.”
“To receive this recognition in 2021, in the wake of a pandemic and yet another year of hypergrowth for Komodo Health, is deeply meaningful,” said Web Sun, co-founder and president, Komodo Health. “Our mission-driven, passionate, intellectually curious, and hard-working team of Dragons make up the DNA of our company, and none of Komodo’s successes would be possible without the insanely talented group of people who embody our core values and choose to dedicate their time every day in support of Komodo’s mission.”
This is the fifth year Battery has issued a version of its highest-rated cloud companies list, along with a related ranking of the 25 Highest-Rated Public Cloud Computing Companies to Work For. The rankings – which this year come as many companies continue to face workplace challenges associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, including remote and hybrid work – highlight the global trend of businesses increasingly turning to the cloud to run critical technology systems and software, instead of using on-premise systems.
Glassdoor noted that employees at these highly rated companies commonly mention in online reviews that they enjoy working for mission-driven companies with strong and unique company cultures; employers that promote transparency; and companies with experienced senior leaders who regularly and clearly communicate with employees. Komodo exemplifies these qualities, as indicated in an anonymous employee review of Komodo Health: “Based on nearly 20 years of work experience with companies both large and small, I can't imagine a better organization to be associated with than Komodo Health. A few of the highlights include extremely intelligent and collaborative coworkers, an exceptional onboarding experience, a true focus on growth and development, a mission-driven approach to healthcare improvement, and a relentless focus on culture. Leaders from the top down practice what they preach and provide the financial resources and headcount needed to get stuff done. The future is bright and if you are interested in, or on the fence about, applying for one of our many open roles, I implore you to strongly consider it!”
