The Deal Enriches Komodo’s Complete Patient Journey Data for 325 Million U.S. Patients, Driving Insights to Help Close Gaps in Care, Identify High-Risk Patients, and Speed Drug Development

26 JANUARY 2020 – San Francisco: Komodo Health and Blue Health Intelligence® (BHI®) today announced a multi-year agreement to integrate BHI’s longitudinal, de-identified, real-world patient data into Komodo’s Healthcare Map™, which provides the world’s most comprehensive view of patient encounters with the U.S. healthcare system. Together, the combined Komodo database captures the patient journeys of more than 325 million de-identified individuals – creating the largest, deepest, and most diverse single source of real-world patient data in the U.S.

BHI has the largest longitudinal and conformed data set of de-identified and HIPAA-compliant medical and pharmacy commercial claims data. By incorporating BHI data into its Healthcare Map™, Komodo Health not only expands the breadth of its nationally representative patient population, it also adds deeper and more diverse coverage to create a more precise view of individual patient experiences. These critical insights can better equip healthcare stakeholders to understand gaps in care, identify opportunities for early intervention, and pinpoint clinical trial candidates, for example.
